Philosophy

Faith Baptist Church is a fundamental Baptist Church that worships God in a Biblical and historical format. Our services are traditional in nature using hymnals, congregational singing, expository preaching, and friendly fellowship. We believe we have a commission from God to take the gospel to our city, country, and world. Therefore, Faith Baptist encourages missions, soul winning, and local outreach with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Organization

Faith Baptist Church is a congregational church with a senior pastor (also called elder, bishop, or preacher) and elected deacons. We are budget driven and have quarterly business meetings open to and participated in by all members. Faith Baptist will baptize converts in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and will serve the Lord’s Supper as a memorial four times a year, open to baptized believers of like faith and practice.

Positions

Faith Baptist Church is a Baptist church in the good historical use of that philosophy. We believe that denominational names are good and honestly place our common beliefs above our front door. We also believe that every church has the right to faith and practice as they see it in Scripture. We are not charismatic, ecumenical, cultish, or liberal in theology and practice. We are not driven by political, social, or cultural pressures to an imbalance in those areas.

Beliefs

The complete Constitution of Faith Baptist Church, including the Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Faith, and By-Laws, are available anytime from the church office. In summary, we believe in the infallibility and inerrancy of Scripture; early earth creation in seven literal days; deity, virgin birth, sinless life, bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ; the primacy and autonomy of the local church; the pretribulational, premillennial return of Jesus Christ to the earth; the literal nature of heaven and hell; and the dispensational interpretation of Scripture.
